Homeboy is sick...
Well, I have not run since the Shamrock Shuffle and I have a good reason. I've been sick the last few days since the morning of the race. My throat feels horrible and my body is aching, therefore I will not run this whole week. I'm just not physically able to run, but this will not stop me from playing basketball Friday or go partying on Saturday night.

Fatboy's Status
How's everybody doing? Just an update on this week's runs. I ran 4 miles on Monday at a 51:05 clip. I then ran 2.5 miles in 32:00 yesterday. I've also gained some excess fat eating cookies and deep fried baked goods all week. The extra pounds should do wonders for the Shamrock Shuffle run which is next weekend. Come out and support me you losers.

it's gotta be the shorts
I just returned from running 2.5 miles in 29:xx. My time was much better than expected and I owe it all to my brand new Nike Dri-FIT running shorts. These shorts are awesome and well worth the money I spent on them. Ahhh, the joy and comfort. I've never run naked in the clouds on a cool, spring day, but I imagine the feeling of doing so would be similar to that which I experienced this evening. To better describe the magnificent material these shorts are made of, here is the description from the manufacturer's label:

mel was hovering over me to make sure i posted something to this blog so here i am...i'm just glad that we're both getting paid to do our jobs...
so today marks the completion of my first official week of training...i ran at lunch (2.5 miles in 30 mins) and plan on running again tonight because i can't get enuf chafing on my chest from my training bra...
i'm also on a carb-restricted diet...i've been keeping track of what gets stuffed down my gullet and mainly it consists of an atkins bar and 1/4 cup almonds and then something substantial for dinner...needless to say, my bowel movements are quite interesting...

I'm an Idiot
I went to the gym with the fabulous idea of running for the 3rd day in a row. I ran 2.5 miles in 32:xx. I wanted to get to 3 miles but stopped at 2.5 for fear of collapsing and making the 10 o'clock news. I'm gonna have to take the next couple days off. I'm exhausted and my whole body is aching, but I'm having trouble falling asleep. Maybe it's because I'm excited about having to get up in 6 hours and drive 20 miles to a job I love. Life is great. I'm an idiot.
